Fairtrade Coffee

Why you should buy Fairtrade coffee?

It's time to think about the consumable products you buy and support their origins with mindfulness. The choices we make as consumers have an impact on other people in our world, which is why every one of us must make a conscious decision regarding where we get things from - especially those of us who can afford better quality.

Buying Fairtrade coffee online allows you as the consumer a simple way to do just this! By supporting farmers through paying them more than the average market rate for coffee beans grown by women & men in farming environments without access to electricity etc., these small investments will go on to create much-needed change within communities plagued by poverty so all members may thrive not only now but in future generations.

We proudly offer an online Fairtrade coffee shop that offers both organic and Fairtrade Certified beans. Our shining star is ourMintaka Fairtrade Organic signature blend made with 100% Fairtrade certified, organic coffee beans from Asia, Africa, and the Pacific region. This coffe belnd has won consistant awards and is the blend behind our booming trade at The Coffee Van in Broome.  Our online store also offers a wide selection of different Fairtrade coffee types so you can browse the regions and be sure to find your perfect coffee.

Fairtrade coffee beans are always higher quality than non-regulated coffee and will offer a much better taste, with health benefits as it is free of chemicals and pesticides. The coffee farmers must work hard to produce the best coffee possible to obtain their Fairtrade Certified status and it shows in the resulting produce.

Fairtrade groups spread the word that trade often isn't fair. They campaign for producers in developing countries and share ways we as consumers can make a difference by buying Fairtrade products, encouraging policymakers to change unfair systems of international commerce. By demanding a higher base fair trade coffee price to farmers, the quality of coffee is able to be kept at a very high level.

The Fairtrade movement strives towards justice - both within your own country as well as throughout regions around the world where poverty thrives due to economic exploitation from multinational corporations who reap huge profits from other people's struggles.

"We work with businesses, consumers, and campaigners.

Farmers and workers have an equal say in everything we do. Empowerment is at the core of who we are.

We have a vision: a world in which all producers can enjoy

secure and sustainable livelihoods, fulfill their potential, and decide on their future.

Our mission is to connect disadvantaged farmers and workers with consumers,

promote fairer trading conditions and empower farmers and workers to

combat poverty, strengthen their position and take more control over their lives.”

Fairtrade is an organization that sets social, economic, and environmental standards for coffee growers and it certifies products after checking these are met. Fairtrade groups work with farmers' sustainability issues by using their direct access to the marketplace as well lobbying the government on better trade agreements. All while working directly to help improve livelihoods locally through education programs such as crop loans or business training sessions in order to promote sustainable development among smallholders.
