Fairtrade & Organic Decaf Blend (Swiss Water Process)
This stunning decaf coffee blend was names by Greg Quicke (Astro Tours) in Broome, and like all our star coffee it is named after a star that is found shining brightly in the Kimberley night skies.
Alnair is the brightest star in the southern constellation "Grus". Its first depiction in a celestial atlas was in Johann Bayer's Uranometria of 1603.
A note of decaf coffee. Most coffee is decaffeinated using a chemical process which, however the Swiss Water Process is chemical free and extracts caffeine through soaking the beans in water over a long and careful process. Being that we use organic beans for our decaf blend, it makes sense the best process to decaffeinate them is also chemical free! Read more about decaf coffee here.

Clean, full and complex blend contains, Fair Trade Coffee from Ethiopia, Honduras and East Timor, it displaying medium acidity, a rich deep body and a long dark chocolate finish. Enjoyed as an espresso or milk based coffee. It is made using the Swiss Water process.

Pretty much the best Decaf I've found
Posted by Deb J on 11th Jul 2022Recently had to cut down the amount of caffeinated coffee I drink - so delighted to re-order the Alnair Decaf blend which is great tasting coffee without the 'too much caffeine' side effects. Would be really great Mark if you could consider extending the decaf. range and add the boab nut which I adore in the normal range to the decaf range.

Best Decaf Ever

I love using it in a cold brew at home also, so can sip iced decaf in the hot afternoons. Pure joy in summer. Thanks for always sending me the best!
